Sally Raspberry is a mama, a lover of life, an educator, a yoga teacher, a student and a dreamer. She is a recent graduate of Asheville Yoga Center’s 500 hour Master’s level yoga training; class of 2014 New World Ayurveda’s Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner; class of 2008 Body Therapy Institute’s Spirit of Learning educator program and a 2001 graduate of Medical Arts Massage school. In addition, Sally holds certificates in Spiritual Counseling and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. In 2018 Sally retired from a 17 year career in therapeutic massage, but continues to uphold her certification as a CE provider for massage therapists through the NCBMTB. In 2019, Revive Wellness, Sally’s YTT school brand, received the much sought after designation of a 200 hour Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance.
Surviving and thriving after a devastating car wreck in 2004, Sally sustained a traumatic brain injury, severing her corpus callosum. After enduring a traumatic birth of her first child in 2005, Sally’s healing centered around understanding spiritual connection, as well as using breath to regulate the nervous system’s function in the body.
In 2016, by the time she met her Partner, a Marine Combat Veteran living with PTS, Sally had developed a creativity, curiosity and vibrance to explore deeply profound ways of healing and growing through movement, breath and meditation. Each Friday morning at 8:15am at Raleigh Yoga Center and 7:30pm at Evolve Movement, she gets to share a meaningful yoga practice with students.
Sally and her Partner bring distinguished balance to each other’s lives and are living happily ever after with their blended family of 5 children and 4 cats in downtown Raleigh. They are working toward the dream of having goats, chickens, bees and an axe throwing range in their backyard.
In her spare time, Sally enjoys completing her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Language Arts Education from NCSU. She continues to study with Gary Kraftsow, Annie Oakerly, Kimberly Puryear, Libby Hinsley, Michael Johnson, and Shala Worsley in Asheville. Twice each year Sally travels to teach Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda retreats in the NC mountains and coast. In 2022 Sally’s dream is to offer YTT and retreats in Sedona AZ, Iceland, Scotland, and Costa Rica.
Sally’s daughters inspire her to do her best in all aspects of life. Truly, they are her greatest teachers. She is overflowing with gratitude to be a mama to these astounding, enlightened human Beings.
