Sally Raspberry has over 1,500 hours of training in Yoga, Spiritual Counseling and Ayurveda, and an additional 1,000 hours of training as a massage therapist. For 17 years she enjoyed a deeply satisfying career as a therapeutic bodyworker before retiring to pursue her dream of training yoga teachers. In 2008, after graduating from Body Therapy Institute’s Spirit of Learning teacher certification program with Carey Smith, Sally began teaching Meditation, Anatomy, Ayurveda and Yoga to massage therapists for continuing education. In 2019, Revive Wellness, Sally’s YTT school brand, received the much sought after designation of a 200 hour Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance.
Sally’s vibrance, curiosity and creativity drive her to explore deeply profound ways of healing and growing to share with every individual she meets. Sally is studying with Gary Kraftsow, Annie Oakerly, Kimberly Puryear, Libby Hinsley, Michael Johnson, and Shala Worsley toward her 500 hour advanced yoga training from Asheville Yoga Center and will graduate in March 2019. In her spare time, Sally is completing her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Language Arts Education from NCSU. When she’s not outside with her children or practicing yoga, Sally can be found teaching mindfulness based stress-reduction and yoga to Veterans at the Durham VA, traveling to teach Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda retreats in the NC mountains and coast, camping with her Person or teaching yoga at Evolve Movement and Raleigh Yoga Center. In 2022 Sally’s dream is to offer YTT and retreats in Sedona AZ, Iceland, Scotland, Costa Rica and Hawaii.
Sally’s daughters inspire her to do her best in all aspects of life. Truly, they are her greatest teachers. She is overflowing with gratitude to be a mama to these astounding, enlightened human Beings.
